Symposium description

Today, the Internet is a strategic field with much at stake in the political, social and cultural spheres.
More than ever, it is crucial to set up a dialogue between France and China to share views, develop mutual understanding and create partnerships.

Fostered by its recognised expertise on mass media and the NTIC, the Laboratoire Communication et Politique (LCP) is inviting the most renowned French and Chinese experts, researchers and practitioners to discuss these new issues.

Why attend this symposium?
This symposium aims to bring together French and Chinese researchers specialized in the Internet, as well as, field experts, businessmen and civil society representatives when relevant.
In terms of research, this symposium will bring new perspectives through the presentation of the most advanced and recent results of French and Chinese studies. How has the Internet modified information sharing, copyright, personal data, creativity? How does one innovate in these fields? The round tables will shed light on the various answers that the Chinese and French researchers and innovators have given to these questions.
As a result, this meeting will be an opportunity for all the delegates, speakers and French partners to identify:

  • the latest technologies and services available in the current Chinese ecosystem
  • potential partners for prospective scientific and technical collaborative projects, which is highly demanded both in France and China
